Where are these kits then?

Four days ago on Thursday, February 2, the al-Shabaab militant group attacked a police station at 1:30 am in Arabia town after cutting out communication to the officers by destroying a Safaricom mast.

They raided the station and disappeared with valuable properties of the Kenyan government.

However, the group has since come out to deny claims that they also stole four biometric voter registration kits as had previously been claimed by authorities.

In a statement issued yesterday, Sunday, February 5, through its radio and website, the terrorists termed Kenya’s claims as propaganda.

The Mujahedeen terms as false the claims of the Kenyan government that some of the thing we seized include some election equipment known as BVR. Mujahedeen says those equipment were not part of the spoils seized,” said part of the statement as quoted on Daily Nation.

This statement is contrary to what Lafey deputy county commissioner Eric Oronyi said, that al-Shabaab stole 4 BVR kits being used in the ongoing voter registration, a police land cruiser, several guns and ammunition.

The group denied stealing four BVR kits being used in the ongoing voter registration exercise in Lafey, Mandera county.

The attackers were being hunted down by the Kenya Defense Forces and police units in Arabia on the same day the attack took place.

This begs the question, where are these four biometric voter registration kits?

The voter registration exercise is currently being closely monitored for any anomalies by presidential aspirants as they traverse the country to amass voters for their side.
